Policies for Our Campers and Their Guests
Campsite Check-in: after 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Arrivals after 10:00 pm may dry camp in disc-golf overflow parking. Early arrival may be available – contact the office to verify that the site is ready. No early arrival fee.
Campsite Check-out: 12:00 pm. Late departure may be available – contact the office for availability. If another guest is not checking into the site, you may stay until 3:00 pm for a $30 fee.
Cabin Check-in: after 4:00PM.Early arrival may be available – contact the office to verify that the cabin is ready. No early arrival fee.
Cabin Check-out: by 11:00AM. Late departure is not available for cabin rentals.
Speed Limit: 5 MPH throughout the campground. It is strictly enforced.
Trash Pick-Up: leave trash tied and bagged by the road by 4:00PM for pick-up. Do not leave trash out overnight as we have wildlife that will make a mess. If trash is left out overnight the guest is responsible for picking it up.
Campsite: is assigned to one family (2 adults and children 17 & under). One camping unit per site. A camping unit is defined as a tent, travel trailer, pop-up, fifth wheel, etc. Maximum of (2) vehicles on campsites, (1) vehicle on rental cabin sites. An extra tent may be set up for a one time $30 fee.
No walking through other campers’ sites.
Trespassing on neighboring land off the perimeter of the campground property is not permitted.
Campfires: are permitted unless otherwise advised. Campfires must always be attended and extinguished before retiring for the evening. Be sure to completely douse out the fire with water.
Visitors: must register in the office (day, night, or swim). $10 for adults, $5 for children (age 3-17), and $5 for dogs. There is no charge for children 2 and under.
Children: should be under parental supervision at all times. Curfew for children 17 & under is 10:00pm unless they are under parental supervision. All unsupervised children must be at their designated site.
Playground equipment is off limits after dark.
Quiet Hours: Sunday – Thursday begin at 10:00PM Friday & Saturday begin at 11:00PM. This does not mean you have to stop having fun. Keep the noise level down to avoid waking or disturbing other campers. Any noise other than guests’ own voices (this includes radios, boomboxes, bluetooth speakers, outdoor movies, etc.) should be turned off at this time. Quiet hours are strictly enforced.
Firearms or firecrackers of any kind are not permitted in the park. No exceptions.
Bicycles: are not allowed after dusk. This is to ensure everyone’s safety. No electric bikes or scooters permitted, except for mobility scooters.
Motorcycles, Golf Carts, ATVs/UTVs, Battery Powered Bikes or Skateboards, etc: are not allowed to be used/driven through the campground at any time. There is a motorcycle parking area and specific campsites that motorcycles are allowed at (please ask at time of reservation). Golf carts and ATVs/UTVs are allowed only for employee use.
Swimming: is not permitted in Bonnie Lake & S’more Pond after dusk. The pool hours are posted at the pool.
There is an emergency 911 phone by the pool.
Firewood: No carry-in firewood. Guests are only permitted to burn firewood purchased at the campground, which is USDA certified and bug free, to help prevent the spread of pests and tree diseases that can damage and kill our trees.
No cutting or destruction to any trees is allowed. Nails should not be used on trees. Any damage or vandalism to any campground property will result in a minimum $500 fee.
Absolutely no smoking/vaping in any rental unit. A minimum fee of $250.00 will be charged if smoking/vaping is detected.
Pet Policies: We welcome you to bring your pet with you. The following simple rules must be followed to make everyone’s camping experience pleasant. We do have a dog park – ask for directions when you check in.
- Pets must be kept on a leash and controlled at all times.
- If a pet is off of the owner’s campsite the leash must be no longer than 6 ft.
- While on the campsite the pet must be restrained with a leash in a manner not to exceed 20 ft in diameter or come within 6 ft of any roadway.
- Pet waste must be picked up and properly disposed of immediately. There are pet stations throughout the campground.
- Pets are not allowed in any buildings, playgrounds, nor are they allowed in or on any swimming areas or beaches.
- Pet fences and/or pens on campsites are allowed. Pets must be supervised and under control at all times.
- Pets cannot be left unattended outside or in a tent. Pets must be supervised and under control at all times.
- Excessive barking will not be tolerated. Pet noise must also follow the rules for quiet hours.
- If a pet bites a person or another animal the campground office must be notified immediately and the local Sheriff’s Department must be called. It is mandatory to report all dog bites.
- It is recommended to keep a copy of pets’ rabies vaccine at the owner’s camper.
- There is a zero tolerance policy for aggressive behavior. One incident will result in the pet being removed from the campsite for the duration of the owner’s stay.
- There will be 1 warning given about violation of pet rules, the next offense will result in the pet needing to be removed from the campground for the remainder of the owner’s stay.
- Helpful Reminder: leash your pet before exiting your vehicle or camper. This simple step can help prevent unexpected incidents and ensure a safe environment for everyone.
- No pets in or on rental units. Pets allowed in pet friendly units: B4, D71, E17.

Reservation Policies
- 2 Night minimum to make reservations
- 3 Night minimum to make reservations for holiday weekends
- Full deposit required on 3 nights or less
- Individuals must be 21 years old or older to reserve a site or cabin.
Cancellation Policies
We do not charge for sunshine, nor do we refund for inclement weather.
Campsites: Cancellations or changes placed 14 days or more prior to the arrival date will be issued a refund less a $30 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given if cancelling or making changes less than 14 days prior to the reservation arrival date.
Cabins: Cancellations or changes placed 21 days or more prior to the arrival date will be issued a refund less a $30 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given if cancelling or or changes less than 21 days prior to the reservation arrival date.
Mobility Accommodation Notice
At Wilderness Campground, we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all of our guests. Our standard policy restricts the use of motorized vehicles, including e-bikes, on campground property to ensure guest safety and preserve the natural environment.
However, we recognize that guests with mobility-related disabilities may require the use of an electric bicycle or similar device.
Requesting an Accommodation
If you have a disability that substantially limits your mobility and require the use of an e-bike for access, we kindly ask that you provide brief documentation from a medical or licensed professional. This documentation should confirm that:
- You have a disability as defined under the ADA
- The use of the e-bike is necessary for your mobility or access while at the campground.
We do not require disclosure of your specific diagnosis or detailed medical history. All disability-related information will be kept confidential.
